At the end of 2017, FERBASA announced the acquisition of the BW GUIRAPÁ wind farm in order to guarantee part of its energy supply, a highly strategic input for the Company’s activities. This was another significant step towards ensuring the duration of the Company’s business and, consequently, the maintenance of its social projects and the jobs created by its production chain. It also represents an important initiative in terms of diversification of the Organization’s portfolio, making it more prepared to face any economic or market setbacks.

Located in the southwest of Bahia, the wind farm has installed capacity to generate 170.2 MW. In addition to its important role in supplying energy, the acquisition adds other value, such as the generation of clean electricity, in line with the Organization’s sustainability policies that always prioritize the respect for the environment and the sustainable development of its businesses.
